What is the biological reason that humans want to have children?
Q. Humans have evolved to desire sex through numerous hormonal chemicals. But what mechanism exists to make humans want to have children? In general, humans desire sex but now that numerous birth control methods exist, sex is no longer necessarily tied to having children. So what biological reason makes humans want to have children, because many could have sex and no children if they so desired. And, it seems to me that such a scenario is in effect. Children per adult is decreasing in nations where the populations can easily afford a lifetime supply of birth control. But why doesn't the rate go down to zero for that group of people? Of course, I'm not advocating this, I'm just wondering why we see these results. I still don't get it:… [cont.]

A. Humans are still animals like all other. And while not as prevelant as other animals, biological instincts still exist. all animals have an inherent instint to mate. it is hard wired into us.

What are the differences between social and biological anthropology?
Q. Im looking at uni courses and trying to work out which one id prefer to study. Also, if it just says "Anthropology" is that likely to be a cross between social and biological?

A. 1st, anthropology is the study of peoples way of life, they way they interact with each other,mostly in the past! social is basically how they relate to each other in their daily life-languauge,food e.t. biological i think is the way they bodies react to the changes in the environmaent in relation to their way of life

How do you feel about mixing children -biological and adopted in one family?
Q. My husband and I have one baby and one on the way. This might be the last baby we can have biologically. Do you think it causes problems to adopt children when you have biological children already? Do you love them the same?

A. I see no problem in it as long as both parents love all the kids equally regardless how they came to be in the family. If able one day I d like to have both. I am 1 of 4 kids and the only adoptee. I never felt treated differently then my brothers. I actually think I got a bit spoiled for being the only girl and youngest child. Bun in the oven I think you feelings are naturally. Many parents whether their first child is adopted or natural. When they end up having a 2nd child again natural or adopted they probably question if they can love another child as much as their first. However love expands and grows. Congrats btw
